On September 1st, more than 750 new laws will take effect in Texas, many of them harmful. But this September 1st would also have been Ann Richards' 90th birthday! Annie's List and Democrasexy are teaming up to honor Ann and four other Texas foremothers whose stories give us hope for the future and persistence to keep up our fight. 

Texas Keeper Cider welcomes us for an intimate gathering in their taproom where we will create a simple and meaningful keepsake craft while learning from Becky Bullard of Democrasexy about First Lady Lady Bird Johnson, Rep. Barbara Jordan, Governor Ann Richards, activist Emma Tenayuca, and Rep. Sarah Weddington. We'll sift through historical photos and poignant anecdotes to find pearls of wisdom from their lives that will inspire us to successfully engage in changemaking today.
